Service Lead

Mission of GBS IT is to partner with Global Business Solutions, Global Commercial Operations and Pharma IT to deliver optimized and high quality centralized business IT solutions & services Responsible for the negotiation, agreement, achievement and Delivery of GBS IT Solutions and Services in Reporting & Analytics area Drives establishment of SLA KPIs along with GBS IT Head and Business Function Heads GSB IT Service Lead will provide Leadership and Expertise for GBS IT Reporting & Analytics Service Line Line management of a Reporting & Analytics Services Team within GBS IT, ensuring high quality, professional holistic service delivery to GBS IT Customers. Each solution in the Reporting and Analytics service suite leveraging Data Warehousing-Business Intelligence platform should aim to be best in class; designed to meet the individual needs of Global, Regional and CPO departments. The Service Lead is expected to provide leadership on below Service Line Management aspects Service Line Setup: o Define and publish the service catalog o Define SLA's & KPI's for the services defined o Build reusable assets and components and manage the repository - Apply the reusable components across different projects o Define and setup governance board to ensure the service quality and assurance. o Perform technology evaluations and POC's of any new technology and use cases. Work closely with new customers and Global Commercial Operations Head to plan structure of Hyderabad team and transition Ensure appropriate resource levels for service provision to GBS IT Customers. o Setup best practices for service innovation, delivery & fulfillment- o Estimation models and techniques to estimate the projects o Contract and Vendor Management o Resource Management o Budget Management o Manage and ensure that Service Level SLAs and KPIs are maintained o Knowledge Management of GBS IT Reporting and Analysis Service Line o Develop innovative solutions that would be helpful for organization o Involved into finalizing/reviewing Architecture, functional specifications, preparing High level design docs, to implementing solutions. o Perform regular benchmarking of service provision cost to ensure competitiveness is retained vs. next best alternative o Setup the L2/L3, Development Testing teams to manage the application life cycle once developed o Work with the Application support team to align on the processes and SLA's o Represent Analytics & Reporting Service Line in the CCB and AAB and implement the best practices Technology Landscape & Alignment With Enterprise Architecture: o Own the technology landscape and work closely with the EA Team (data warehouse, Java, J2EE, SOA, EAI, etc.) o Implement industry best practices to enable customer needs. Infrastructure/Deployment Alignment: o Liaise with Reporting & Analytics Solution Center and GIS for guidelines on deploy-ment Alignment with business and other organization functions: Quality & Compliance o Ensure that the projects are delivered as per the Novartis IGM Framework guidelines and ICE methodology o Ensure service quality and service review Varied technical skill set around data warehouse, Java, J2EE , SOA, EAI etc. Ability to learn and adapt to completely new technologies in very short time Manages a highly complex internal Organization whilst managing excellent working relationships with internal and external service providers and relies therefore on your vendor management experience" Desired Profile Degree in Computer Science or related discipline; Masters in Business Administration; Fluency in English is prerequisite, while knowledge of other in-scope country languages would be an advantage 10 to 15 years of IT work experience in IT, 3+ years of pharmaceutical industry or related experience. Managing senior leadership stakeholders within mid-large global organizations Strong understanding of managing complex matrix based organization/off-shored environment. Has people man-agement experience in within their work history. Also pos-sesses strong management and conflict resolution skills. Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to demonstrate strong influencing, ne-gotiation and diplomacy skills Experience 10 - 15 Years Industry Type Pharma / Biotech / Clinical Research Role Service Delivery Leader
