Senior Software Engineer

The Netflix Membership team provides a suite of web services for accessing customer related information. All engineering teams at Netflix use these core services: Account, Subscriber, Identity, A|B Experimentation, Device, Messaging, and Codes. Architecturally, we focus on building globally distributed systems that are resilient, performant, and can scale to accommodate our rapid international growth.

We are looking to add an exceptional Java engineer to the Membership platform team. This platform handles membership, authentication and identity management services for the entire 25+ million Netflix customers on over 1000 devices. You'll be working closely with other great engineers to design and implement new features and enhancements to existing services.

You’ll bring a fresh perspective, question assumptions and lead by example. You’re comfortable working independently, making decisions, taking appropriate risks and working with evolving requirements. You’re comfortable working in a flat organization having minimal process, fast development cycles and a lot of individual responsibility.

Minimum job qualifications:

- 7+ years of software development experience
- Strong object oriented programming experience, preferably in Java
- Solid understanding of data structures and data caching techniques
- Development experience with large-scale, highly parallel, distributed, internet-based systems
- Experience with RESTful, resource-oriented web services

Preferred job qualifications:

- Development experience for Cloud Computing platforms (AWS, Azure, App Engine)
- Experience with NoSQL solutions for large-scale data management solutions
