Product Analyst


The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Product Managers in several facets of managing the Alternative Products product line.  This includes reviewing opportunities as well as designing, implementing, underwriting, servicing and marketing programs to ensure growth and profitability for the product line.

Main Responsibilities

    * Research, compile, and analyze program opportunities, including the review of actuarial reports, assist with file reviews, and identify new markets and agents to target.
    * Assist the product managers with the underwriting and rating of accounts.
    * Communicate with external program partners on accounts and other marketing aspects.
    * Assist in on-site file audits and other activities related to monitoring the programs.
    * Monitor the pipeline and other activities on various programs.
    * Work with product managers to analyze and recommend program enhancements and product line extensions.
    * Work with employees in other departments, including but not limited to claims, accounting, compliance, and customer service.
    * Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the supervisor.


    * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience that includes several years of insurance experience and insurance coursework/designation(s).
    * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
    * Ability to write reports, effectively present information, and respond to questions from clients, customers, and the general public.
    * Working knowledge of PCs, especially databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
    * Travel Requirements:  1-10%
