Net Web Developer

ndiana Interactive, LLC develops and manages the state of Indiana Web portal (www.IN.gov) and develops eGovernment solutions. Indiana Interactive, a subsidiary of NIC Inc. [NASDAQ: EGOV], is located in Indianapolis, IN and is seeking a temporary .Net Application developer with strong object-oriented design and programming skills. The selected candidate will be part of a Java/.Net development team, and will be responsible for both enhancing existing Web applications and developing new Web applications.

 

This position is a temporary position anticipated to last 6-12 months, but has the potential to convert into a permanent full-time position.

Primary Functions:

    * Architect, design, and scope efforts for development of applications
    * Maintain and troubleshoot existing .Net and classic ASP Web applications
    * Work with Project Managers and other staff to determine project specifications

 
Job Requirements

Requirements:

    * Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline
    * In-depth experience with C#/VB.Net and ASP.Net
    * Experience with classic ASP
    * Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL for implementing database-driven, web-based applications
    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities and an aptitude for learning new technologies (consulting background is a plus)
    * Desire to work in fast-paced entrepreneurial environment to ensure that applications meet or exceed specifications in a 3-tier, scalable and secure environment
    * Strong organizational and prioritization skills
    * Self-motivated, creative and strong sense of accountability
    * Commitment to usability, accessibility, security and privacy standards
