Loan Processing Manager

 Job Description:

Oversee a team of Loan Processors by monitoring overall compliance with regulations, monitoring efficiency, and developing plans for productivity improvements for processing operations as changes are needed.  Monitor results of internal audits and suspensions for areas needing improvement and additional training.  Manage the implementation of LOS system in relation to processing workflow. Implement procedural changes to ensure the system is being utilized with maximum efficiency.  

The position requires direct oversight of every Loan Processor on his/her team, to ensure each staff member is following company policies and procedures and that each member fully utilizes the LOS  system as it is designed and to ensure their files are processed in a timely manner.  The Processing Manager must also continuously look for ways to improve our processes, both in terms of procedures and use of the LOS system to ensure continuous efficiency and customer service improvement and to reduce errors.

This position will work closely with the other Processing Manager, as well as with all other Operations (Quality Assurance, Closing, Underwriting) and Sales Managers in the department  to review overall branch performance.

Responsible for hiring, employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, salary adjustments and termination functions.  Work with Processing Trainer to develop training material, monitor new hires and processor trainees as well as assist in keeping training material current and relevant.
Skills/Requirements

Job Requirements:

    * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
    * 5-7 years processing or underwriting experience in residential lending is required
    * Previous management experience in a mortgage operation required
    * Effective business communication skills (both oral and written)
    * Excellent time management and organizational skills – must be detail-oriented and thorough
    * Excellent customer service skills
    * Strong interpersonal communication skills; Ability to effectively interact with individuals in all areas of the bank
    * Ability to continuously innovate; improve our processes and systems
    * Ability to develop and present information in varied mediums
    * Ability to work cooperatively with other managers on a daily basis within the Residential Lending Dept.
    * Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
    * Effective management/supervisory skills & ability to utilize reports to effectively manage loan pipeline
    * Computer literate—experience using word processing, spreadsheet, data management, and desktop publishing software
    * Thorough knowledge of all mortgage banking products, services, processes and activities
    * Thorough knowledge of all regulatory entities and requirements as they relate to banking activities
