Human Resource Officer

Job Description 2 years contract to permanent position. Full set of Civil Service benefits provided. Responsibilities The Officer, Human Resource Services will be part of the team which handles a specific back end Human Resource operation for various client government agencies; either in Appointments, Benefits or Exit and Superannuation:- Verify appropriate information needed to process cases relating to the HR processes with agencies, from personnel systems or officers’ Personal Files. Update of related personnel systems to capture the appropriate personnel transactions performed. Prepare and issue letters/emails correspondences and related documents for communicating with agencies and their employees Undertake administrative work such as document filing/retrieval and photocopying. Maintain file records correctly with confidentiality and promptly route to right action officer wherever necessary Compile reports/submissions following established formats and procedures Draft simple submissions for clearance with supervisors. Carry out periodic reviews and archive records regularly. Respond timely to customers enquiries pertaining to human resource administration Exercise independent analysis and judgment according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and recommend course of action when responding to client agencies and customers Conduct independent review of work processes and systems and recommend possible improvements to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness Requirements Candidate must possess either of the following qualifications: - 3 'O' level passes including English and Math with at least 4 years of related working experience; OR - A local Polytechnic Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent. No experience is required for Diploma graduates. Fresh Diploma graduates are welcomed to apply. Proficient in English Excellent communication, interpersonal, social and organizational skills High level of initiative with excellent customer service and problem-solving skills A team player who is able to work independently as well as in a team Be competent in Ms Word and Excel.
