The Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Information and Services (MSCIS) Information Solutions group reports into IEB division, developing and supporting critical business systems for all functions of the division, from Manufacturing through Operations, Sales and Marketing and Finance, Business Performance and Strategy. Our systems support the extended retail supply chain not only for IEB products like XBOX, Kinect but for all Microsoft products sold at retail (e.g. Windows, Office, Hardware products and Games for Windows etc). While embedded in the IEB Division we are also closely affiliated with the corporate Microsoft IT group, leveraging multiple shared services to deliver world class solutions to our demanding client base.

As the IEB business and customer base is growing rapidly, there is huge demand for centralize BI System to drive business decision to enhance the productivity and competitiveness of Microsoft Interactive Entertainment & Devices.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, self-motivated, and able to work effectively with other disciplines and other PM groups across the BI Platform. We value passion, creativity, sound engineering practices, accountability, teamwork, cross-organization collaboration and making ourselves better. We are looking for someone who wants to help customer reporting needs, explore new technologies, drive execution for new features, and help prototype new product ideas to continue to grow our BI Platform.

Roles/Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of high-performing Program Managers aligning to the MSCIS divisional goals and own their career development
- Demonstrate understanding of business requirements analysis and the ability to utilize technical skills/experience to improve business processes, system feature/functions, usability and performance
- Follow industry best practices for Agile development in a team environment
- Assist in scoping and planning new projects - identifying degree of fit of with MS technologies and estimating overall timeline/cost for an implementation.
- Promote proactive and cooperative relationships within the work group by working collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, support, development and test teams
- Research and keep current on IT trends, technologies and system solutions
- Process-focused aptitude to manage a variety of responsibilities and deliverables
- Succeed against aggressive goals and be comfortable working with internal and external partners and virtual teams
- Plan and execute the implementation of technical solutions for complex problems by identifying resource requirements, preparing project plans, proactively managing project risks and issues, managing end user expectations and ensuring that project scope is contained and delivered as agreed
- Bring innovative approaches to the project functional areas that continuously improve our ability to deliver faster, better, and cheaper solutions
- Work with internal customers and product management to determine business requirement
- Analyze business requirements, provide cost/schedule estimate and then implement the solutions either directly through systems configuration or translation of business requirements into clear and unambiguous functional specifications
- Work closely with solution management, engineering and architecture teams to deliver high quality services
- Be a self-starter that can maintain focus and deliver results consistently
- Act as the central point of coordination and management of design, development, testing and support resources as solutions are deployed
- Utilize technical skills/experience to improve business processes, system feature/functions, usability and performance
- Sound judgment, decision-making skills, and ability to work under continual deadline pressure.
- Mentor junior team members in best patterns & practices for delivering high quality solutions that challenge and contribute to the growth of the overall engineering team
- Vendor management by defining clear statements of work, ensure efficient contract and procurement and onboarding procedures, optimized vendor performance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 8-10 years experience in system implementation, project management, process analysis, and enterprise level services/systems
- Familiar with SCRUM or similar agile development/implementation methodologies, and cross-functional engineering practices/excellence
- Strong verbal communications and cross-group collaboration skills
- Skilled in writing high-quality functional specifications and working with a team to see the vision realized
- Strong project management and small team leadership experience, project planning, risk management and issue resolution skills
- Great problem solving skills and high intellectual horsepower
- Confident, takes ownership, willingness to “do what it takes” to get the job done
- Sound judgment, decision-making skills, and ability to work under continual deadline pressure
- Proven experience driving projects to successful completion
- Demonstrable passion for continuous applied learning & development
- Strong familiarity with service oriented engineering principles
- Strong familiarity with the MSFT solution platforms and a demonstrable passion to stay on top of related continuously evolving developments
- Strong creative thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity without stalling progress
- Proven sense of high accountability and self-drive to take on and see through big challenges
- Ability to mentor, accept mentoring and be able to conduct bi-directional knowledge transfer is essential
- This position has frequent contact with all levels of Microsoft employees both domestically and internationally.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent understanding of Engineering Excellence processes and requirements
Implementation experience with hands on configuration skills in ERP systems supporting Supply chain space that includes but not limited to Business Intelligence, Customer Support Services and other enterprise related systems
Expertise and knowledge in Agile engineering practices (Continuous Integration, TDD, Continuous Deployment)
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
Experience using UML modeling of business requirements and functional designs
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft development and application technologies
Knowledge with the Cloud Computing, Windows Azure and SQL Azure
Implementation experience in delivering global IT solutions prior using Microsoft technologies
Demonstrated experience delivering mission-critical applications including:
o Line of business processes and experience
o Development of business applications using defined methodologies, including developing functional specifications and data analysis
o Experience in technical design, process analysis, and business application implementation
Should have min 5 years of project management experience working with multiple teams and should be self-driven and independent in project execution
Well-versed in SDLC(Software Development Life Cycle) and SCRUM or similar Agile implementation methodologies and with a solid track record of delivering projects quickly and on time and on budget
Knowledge of SQL Server and a basic understanding of relational databases and data analysis and of software architectures, MS technology and products
