 Job Description
    
Functional Responsibilities:
• Senior level individual contributor; Works independently, responds to internal and external inquiries related to high visibility, high net worth, sensitive, extremely complex cases, and/or cases requiring specialized reporting regarding a wide range of complex financial and legal issues.
• Analyze process and/or approve activities requiring registered principal review, (such as transaction suitability, correspondence review, daily blotter review etc...) to ensure compliance within regulatory requirements.
• Develops and prepares original correspondence for multiple franchises in reply to complex or controversial inquiries. Determines appropriate format (pre-formatted, original correspondence or a combination of both) for reply, and appropriate delivery method (written, fax, e-mail etc…) for the recipient.
• Receives, reviews, and processes to completion special/complex requests, while balancing the best interests of the business and regulatory/compliance controls.
• Acts as the primary customer interface for problem resolution and consistent service.
• Responds to inquiries from independent brokers and takes necessary steps to satisfy the client, while balancing the best interests of the business and regulatory/compliance controls.
• Builds and maintains relationships with independent brokers, third party administrators, and Corporate/Bank owned representatives by providing a high level of customer service and by facilitating resolution of special requests.
• Analyze & offer solutions for complex system, procedural, unique and operational problems and service requests that arise during processing activities.
• Partners with multiple areas to ensure successful resolution of cases and implementation of corporate and dept initiatives.
• Provides direction and assistance on moderate to complex insurance matters that require in-depth knowledge of a multitude of related subjects.
• Prepares cases for court proceedings, subpoenas, summons, etc. Serves as a technical expert on litigation and complaint proceedings and acts as an expert witness in such cases if warranted.
• Assists in the preparation and investigation of internal/regulatory audits.
• Stays informed of changes to state and federal regulations and company policies. Works with management, procedures and training staff to modify workflow and procedures as needed for the business unit.
• Reviews and approves/denies the work of other associates when a higher approval limit is required.
• Acts as a subject matter expert on processes or operating arrangements affecting a specific business function or activity.
• Follows through as necessary to finalize any changes resulting from completed transactions.
• Analyzes, recommends, assists and represents user area in regards to process/system enhancements, design, testing and issue resolution.
• Participates in special projects, focus groups and special assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required, including conducting formal training classes.
    
Job Requirements
    
Position Requirements:
• Requires advanced knowledge of company operations, life insurance products, provisions for multiple products or group of products within the line of business, associated state and federal regulations and life administrative systems.
• Intermediate level of project management skills.
• Intermediate level of understanding and application of system design processes, methodologies and testing tools.
• 5+ years of relevant insurance industry business experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.
• Insurance Industry Designation required.
• FINRA Series 6 required within 6 months of hire.
• Requires advanced level knowledge of PC equipment and related software programs, especially word processing and excel spreadsheets.
• Requires exceptional written and oral communication skills.
