Responsibilities: Be responsible for developing sales plans, activities and campaigns Manage and supervise the day-to-day activities of the sales team, covering a number of industry sectors, in order to attain the sales target set for the team and department Contribute to the development of news, radio and print advertising sales by securing new clients and increasing business from existing clients Prepare sales forecasts and budgets; monitor sales revenues against forecasts to identify problem areas; and re-allocate resources to improve the overall performance of the sales team Coach the sales team on the news, radio and print platform, sales packages and on sales techniques, procedures and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets Requirements: At least a Diploma from a recognised institution 5-8 years’ proven sales track record in the media industry An experienced sales person with experience in the media industry Be able to formulate effective sales strategies and implement them efficiently A hands-on person with the ability to lead and train the team members in sales techniques Other attributes include excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills that encompass strong persuasive techniques, excellent listening & negotiation skills, and the ability to develop and maintain business relationships with clients
