System Engineer (1-Year Contract)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24 x 7 on-call Level 1 support for the video OTT service, including customer problems and/or technical faults
  • Triage problems, determine root cause and drive resolution of video delivery and service issues and faults with vendors, other departments and/or customers
  • Monitor and perform level 1 management of encoders, applications and systems
  • Manage and monitor the vendors to ensure compliance and achievements to service level and KPI
  • Support the project manager in the overall project management for the platform and infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/ Degree in Engineering/ Computing/ IT
  • At least 3 years of experience working as a system administrator or in a NOC/helpdesk environment
  • Hands-on experience in system administration of LINUX and Windows servers
  • Computer programming experience
  • Knowledge of networking, TCP/IP and video streaming technologies
  • Knowledge of SQL databases
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive and enthusiastic team player
