Posting Description
MeadWestvaco is seeking applicants for Instrument and or Electrical Journeymen for the plant in Covington, VA.

Minimum requirement: Four (4) year State Approved apprenticeship or Associate of Applied Science degree in electricity, electronics, instrumentation or equivalent upon review, along with work experience.

Successful candidates will have experience in most, if not all, of the following areas: 3 phase power generation, transmission, distribution, 13.8kv. 2.3kv, 480vac, DC Systems, UPS Systems, AC/DC Motor Controls, PLC Systems, VFD’s, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Control Valves, Analytical Devices, Measurement Devices, Single Loop Controllers, advanced control systems, strong troubleshooting skills and a focus on safety.
