The Employee Health & Benefits (EH&B) Senior Clinical Consultant will produce and deliver clinical services as part of Total Health Management (THM) for the West region (Seattle to San Diego). Serve as a recognized THM expert to support general Health & Benefits consulting staff and leading THM business development efforts in selected offices. Level of support provided depends on size of client as well as complexity and revenue of the account - at this level the senior consultant will be the client lead. To fulfill this role, the Senior Clinical Consultant will:

·          Serve as a senior Total Health Management (THM) consultant as a member of the national clinical team

·          Serve as a key client leader in the West Market and actively lead and contribute to key client clinical initiatives.

·          Actively contribute to the large-market client team as the most senior clinician providing advice and strategic direction

·          Support the growth of clinical services and consulting regionally and nationally, including:

·          Contributing as a clinical subject matter expert to the sales initiatives of clinical and strategic THM projects

·          Initiating continuous improvement of Mercer's approach to clinical assessments and care management consulting services

·          Enhancing support for product and service innovation

·          Supporting the Mercer Health Advantage initiative

·          Effectively communicate Mercer's position on latest industry trends to clients

·          Be accountable for revenue/profitability for client accounts and projects.

·          Incorporate compliance and professional standards into all work processes, including transparency, AFG, peer review and maintaining required licensure

·          Generate sales by expanding revenues from existing clients and by leading prospecting efforts with new clients

·          Lead and participate in new business opportunities with sales channel partners

·          Cross-sell other Mercer and Marsh & McLennan Companies products and services to clients.

·          Establish effective carrier/vendor relationships to serve clients regarding clinical solutions

·          Provide mentoring and coaching to project team members
 
Qualifications

 

·          MD degree - additional MBA preferred

·          10+ years experience in identifying, designing, recommending and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' complex health care benefits challenges

·          Clinical expertise and industry reputation in the health & benefits field

·          Strong, innovative sales and marketing skills plus the ability to market organizational strengths successfully

·          Strategic planning, communication, and listening skills

·          Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple and complex tasks in a demanding work environment

·          Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills Proven management skills in leading large, complex projects

·          Ability to manage, motivate, and mentor more junior level staff

·          Completion of continuing education to maintain credentials as required
