Customer Service Representative

Description
The qualified candidate will provide customer service and administrative support to an underwriting unit in the company. Duties include handling client calls for coverage/information; entering and compiling data; performing routine clerical tasks to relieve underwriter of administrative details; and entering new business applications and processing standard renewals. Position provides general support throughout the underwriting process and assists team in meeting business plan objectives.

Job Responsibilities include:

    * Entering new business and renewal applications
    * Processing and distributing applications
    * Reviewing correspondence, records, and reports to select routine matters for processing
    * Handling client inquiries, including answering incoming calls as well as initiating outgoing calls.
    * Handling binder issues and following up with underwriter quotes
    * Following up with clients for payment
    * Reviewing and issuing policies according to underwriter's direction
    * Processing Term letters
    * Handling incoming and outgoing faxes
    * Processing daily work requests and assisting in managing accounts receivables
    * Supporting Program Manager on execution of business plan as assigned

Qualifications

    * High school diploma or equivalent
    * 2 years business experience
    * Proven experience with customer contact
    * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    * Accurate data entry
    * Organized, with attention to detail
    * Good customer service attitude
    * Ability to multi-task and work independently
