Manager - Sales Intermediary Report & Analytics

Specific Job Summary


The Manager, Area Sales Market Analysis, will provide analytical and information support to the Sales organization in their efforts to measure performance and communicate results to stakeholders.  The Manager will proactively monitor hotel and Area Sales Team performance, conduct analysis of issues that arise, and provide market-specific knowledge to support analysis efforts.  The Manager will also be responsible for providing market-specific metrics and commentary to the Area Sales team and the corporate Post Launch team for use in owner decks, quarterly market reviews and other ad hoc projects.  The Manager has a dual reporting relationship to the VP’s of Area Sales and the Sr. Manager of Market Analysis on the Sales & Intermediary Analysis team.

Specific Expected Contributions


·         Compile quarterly results for market to be used in internal quarterly updates, key quarterly owner updates and at major meetings (e.g., FAC meetings, MINA meetings).  Updates to include analysis of key performance metrics, identification of key wins and identification of opportunities.  Coordinate collection of information from all functional areas, schedule and facilitate review sessions, and distribute final review to all stakeholders.

·         Provide analytical support to the Area Sales VP’s regarding sales performance in preparation for stakeholder meetings (e.g., owner, GM, corporate, etc.).

·         Support development and maintenance of a database of paticipating properties included in the markets as well as relevant market statistics (e.g., number of sales areas, number of associates, number of accounts, etc.).  Ensure the list is up to date and distributed to key stakeholders as needed (e.g., goal setting process).

·         Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders in markets and at MI headquarters

·         Special projects as assigned, including ad hoc requests for information and analysis relative to Area Sales

·         Provide slides and data to corporate post-launch team regarding performance of market properties as needed for specific owner presentations.
