Destination Sales Executive


As a member of the professional staff, provides expertise in the market research discipline.  Manages the development/execution of business-critical consumer research.  Drawing upon research findings and prior learning, provides advice and recommendations on both development and modification of business strategy and tactics.  Contributes insights/learning to PSR, brand management, marketing and other disciplines that helps to shape brand, tier and portfolio strategy and direction.


Research & Strategy:


·         Manages the planning and execution of qualitative and quantitative marketing research that informs overall brand and program strategies for Marriott Rewards.

·         Effectively directs multiple external research suppliers/associates, insuring that they clearly understand/deliver on project objectives in a timely, high quality and cost-effective manner.

·         Synthesizes research findings from multiple sources and, drawing upon general business knowledge, develops meaningful insights and clear implications for action.


Business Partner:


·         Collaborates with internal clients and external agencies to develop effective research based on an understanding of Marriott Rewards’ business.

·         Effectively communicates research findings/direction to broad range of internal/external stakeholders – tailoring messages as appropriate to maximize learning and pull-through.




·         Partners with senior research staff on the design and execution of research, from identification of needs to final report out, including business implications stemming from research recommendations.

·         Proactively manages relationships with assigned research vendors.




·         Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing research or other quantitative discipline; advanced degree a plus

·         5+ years marketing research experience, with exposure to broad range of methodologies and business issues; loyalty program experience a plus

·         Experience working in a fast-paced, large corporate environment

·         Strong analytical capabilities

·         Demonstrated success in translating research insights into actionable recommendations for internal teams

·         Demonstrated consulting skills

·         Outstanding project management skills, with the ability to manage to tight timelines with strict adherence to budget

·         Strong relationship-building skills

·         Highly effective oral and written communication skills
