Product Manager Job

Essential Job Functions


- Provide technical leadership for assigned manufacturing processes to ensure processes meet company’s expectations for safety, quality, delivery, inventory and cost.

- Lead efforts to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes through the use of contemporary manufacturing practices including lean manufacturing.

- Create, implement and manage all required documentation to manage the manufacturing processes including analytical models, procedures, work instructions, employee training tools, process FMEA’s and others.

- Lead activities related to implementing process improvement activities, tools and practices to improve safety, delivery performance, product/process quality, and company profits.

- Ensure that all standard cost information is accurate for parts produced in assigned dept.

- Works with team to plan, coordinate and implement activities to support successful new product launches including make/buy analyses, new process introduction, and others.

- Fulfills the financial control and risk management responsibilities inherent in this position.

Job Requirements/Working Conditions


- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in manufacturing/operations required; or a minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing/operations in lieu of degree required.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.

- Basic knowledge of CAD software is required.

- Knowledge of Lean concepts preferred.

- Must be able to lift 50lbs.

- Normal office environment with heavy exposure to shop floor.
