General Manager

SUMMARIZED JOB PURPOSE/ OBJECTIVE: The General Manager is responsible for: Restaurant Profitability Food Safety, Health & Hygiene & Staff Welfare Guest Experience Restaurant Operations Employee Welfare & Management Brand Standards Compliance Liaison with Local Authorities and Mall Management MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Overall 12 to 15 years experience with at least 3 5 years experience in a similar high-pressured, high-end environment as a Head of a Restaurant. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Knowledge & Skills Proficiency in MS Office Understanding of Financial & Accounting principles Negotiation skills Proficiency in dimensions of restaurant functions: o food planning and preparation, o purchasing, sanitation, o security, o company policies and procedures, o personnel management, o record keeping, and preparation of reports. COMPETENCIES: Abilities Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff. Must be assertive and outgoing to be able to interact well with customers. Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards. Ability to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks such as food, beverage and labour cost while maintaining required standards of operation in daily restaurant activities. Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing. Must have mature sense of ethics, principles, and values. Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance.
