SW Engineer - Emerging Market Initiatives

Software Engineers conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools and design rule checkers, electronic data processing systems software. Determines computer user needs, advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements, designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgement and formal software process. The successful candidate will drive the creation of new and innovative SW solutions for emerging market technologies starting with Aadhaar (UID) enabled point of sale devices. Should have 4+ years of experience working on Android at various parts of the stack from drivers upto middleware & apps. Needs to be a self-starter, motivated and passionate about technology, be able to work independently with limited oversight and be able to think out of the box. Should be able to work well in a rapidly changing environment and be able to produce quick results. Desired Profile Qualifications: Bachelors/Masters with specialization in computer science or electronics. 4+ years of Android experience with 8+ years of overall industry experience.
