HR Manager

Being able to convince facts with data/statistics and figures as much as possible. Job Description: Liaise with functional/departmental employees to understand all necessary aspects and needs for HR dept. and to ensure they are fully informed of HR objectives, purposes and achievements. Employing and using effective HR management practices and systems. Review and update employee rules and regulations and other HR policies and procedures on a time-to-time basis as appropriate. Gather knowledge of legal requirements and government required regulations affecting HR functions. Develop recruitment plans to efficiently and effectively fill open positions. Conduct regular follow up with managers to determine the effectiveness of the recruitment plan, process and execution. Work with department heads and create job descriptions for each opening. Network through industry contacts, association memberships, colleges, campus placement officers and other sources. Make presentations about the company and actively engage with Marketing in company branding across various colleges and in important technical events, college fairs, trade shows, career fairs etc. to create a pool of trainable and qualified candidates in advance. Research and recommend various methods of candidate recruitment. Engage actively in posting job openings in various job sites, social networking sites, job forums, LinkedIn and other internet based methods. Oversee performance appraisal process management to implement and monitor PMS and measuring effectiveness of appraisals. Based on these measurements, suggesting changes to the appraisal methodology or addition of new parameters that would help in using appraisals as an effective mechanism in deciding pay hikes. Conduct periodic market surveys for understanding salary trends across various domains and positions within the state and across the country. Share statistics in numbers with management and suggest correction mechanisms. Ensure compensation and benefits are in line with company policies and legislation. Benchmark compensation and benefits based on this market survey study which can actively support the annual salary review parameters. HR planning and budgeting. Identifying training needs across various departments, scouting for technically qualified trainers, meeting and coordinating training programs based on company and employee need assessment. Periodically updating skillsets available in the company and new skillsets vs total skilled resources available chart and using the data in planning for recruitments, attritions etc. Employee- Employer engagement meetings to be conducted to ensure good employee-employer relationship. Identify concern areas among employees and suggest effective remedial plans resulting in a win-win situation for both employee and employer. Handle employee grievances, disputes, complaints in an effective manner. Meet employees on a regular basis and gather feedback from employees, gauge the environment and identify issues and find solutions. Actively engage in proactive, logical and analytical thinking towards problem areas and then suggesting suitable solutions to management with data /statistics to address these problems efficiently. Plan and effectively conduct employee orientation, administer HR policies and procedures, compensation and benefits, activities involved in organizational development, building an organization culture, employee satisfaction surveys, keeping employees updated on company developments, company progress and identify and making effort to motivate employees, exit interviews etc. Formulate and oversee successful execution of foreign travel policy, bond agreements & employee contract papers, MIDA, NDA agreements etc. Be aware and acquainted with different social media tools like twitter, LinkedIn, facebook, orkut and use them actively to brand company activities and use it as effective medium to source people, spread awareness about our company. Actively engage and plan quarterly and annual employee get-togethers by finding out different methods for employee bonding. (Celebrating birthdays, wedding days, wishing the employee on these special days, arranging outside office get-togethers, planning team bonding games, icebreakers etc. when planning get-togethers etc.). Would be a part of the Management Team. Required Skills: Mandatory to have HR & recruitment expertise from IT domain (C/C++, .Net platforms).
