DLF IT Park, Block 7, Shivaji Garden, Mount Poonamalle Road, Ramapuram, Chennai - 89 Contact Person : IBM HR Skills: Websphere MQ Skill Requrirement: Commercial IT exposure in a Large Systems (150+) Server environment Significant working knowledge with the following WebSphere skills is required for the job: WebSphere MQ (WMQ) v6.1.x HACMP, MQ Cluster, MQ API Exits Installation, patching, configuring, problem determination. Keystore management CSR, importing, receiving, etc. ISA, AST, Working with IBM on PMRs, etc. JDK 1.5 and J2EE 1.4.x or above The following experience would be beneficial, WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment (WAS ND) v6.1.x IBM HTTP Server (IHS) v6.1.x Scripting with Jython and ksh Knowledge on SiteMinder and LDAP Omegamon/ITM/ITCAM Basic Networking concepts (TCP/IP, host file, Virtual Hosts and HTTP traffic) Practical experience of other middleware technologies Unix administration skills on AIX, Solaris would be advantageous. Problem diagnosis and resolution skills in a business critical 24 x 7 Service Support environment are essential. Knowledge of MS-Office suite. Familiarisation with ITIL principles and preferably ISEB accredited. Experience of problem and change control management processes including use of applications such as Remedy. Strong inter-personal and communication skills Independent problem solving skills, demonstrating initiative and self- motivation Good written and verbal communication skills. Key Responsibilities: To be a team member in Visa Europes Products Support team, within the Data Centre environment. To provide support and administration for Websphere MQ solutions employed within VISA Europes distributed applications and systems, ensuring that the management capability for these systems are maintained and supported with the highest level of quality and availability, ensuring Service Level targets can be met. To provide 2nd/3rd level 24x7 support and maintenance for the Software. Play a lead role in the administration, installation and maintenance of VISA Europes MQ solutions, ensuring that all changes are performed professionally and with minimal operational impact. This will be achieved by developing, and enforcing standards for management capabilities within the EU and developing and executing, a change management review processes for the Opsware solutions supported within the distributed environment. Contribute to EU Regional support initiatives by providing a 7 x 24 hour technical callout facility for those systems that the team administers, maintains or provides support to. Provide technical support for problem diagnosis for MQ liaising with other EU departments where necessary, to ensure all problems are resolved professionally with minimal operational or service impact. Pro-actively ensure MQ estate is offering required High Levels of Availability and performing optimally, and are able to ensure the achievement of Service Level expectations through accurate monitoring and automation capabilities. Work with internal developers, hardware/software vendors and integrators to assimilate knowledge of new systems being developed or deployed. Ensure all change, and request work, assigned to the team is performed in a timely manner per the scripts. Where possible identify and work to resolve potential problems prior to implementation. Monitor and report on the status of projects/meetings attended by the EU Systems Products Support team, liaising with the project groups to ensure that the relevant and up-to-date information is made available to Operations. Provide a monthly management report on change and problem activity. Demonstrate the use of tracking and trending of MQ related problems to ensure failures do not recur. Keep abreast of developments and emerging MQ technology throughout the IT industry by means of networking, membership of specialist groups and ongoing training.
