Sales Engineer

Job Description: This role will work under the Senior Account Manager in managing sales activities for all HiTech products across the Southeast Asia region and managing all engagements with existing or new dealers, distributors and/or direct customers. The Sales Engineer will identify volumes, target strategic customers and develop partnerships and to subsequently identify and implement business development projects related to new and/or existing industries, technologies or services. Building relationships and understanding customer business in order to provide the appropriate products or solutions with the eventual goal of working towards achieving and/or exceeding the projected sales plan. Working with other divisions, you will be required to coordinate overall strategy in sales pursuits of projects in the Southeast Asia region. You will need to work with the team to increase market awareness of HAAP capabilities through actively providing technical expertise via sales presentations, product demonstrations and technical workshops of HiTech products. Work with the customer to assess potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications or solutions. Demonstrate the feasibility of the application proposed, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demonstration for the client. Provide software development consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation. You will analyze market data to identify trends/opportunities, develops strategic direction from market information and create compelling market analysis presentations. Have a clear understanding of competitors' activities in the market. Using this to develop comprehensive SWOT Analysis and generate effective business counter strategies. To develop sales and growth strategy with your network of dealers and/or distributors. Develop strategic market or product line business plans and marketing programs to support sales. You should be aware and adopt 6 sigma activities in daily business conduct and maintain compliance to Honeywell standard and processes. You will also be required be involved in the training and development of Project/Service Engineers. Qualifications: Candidates should have a minimum of a Degree or Diploma in an Engineering discipline. You should have a good knowledge of Life Safety Systems and/or Gas Detection Systems with at least 2-5 years of working experience in this field; with established skills and knowledge of Life Safety System and/or Gas Detection System principles and applications. Prior experience in interacting with Consulting Companies, EPCM Contractors and Gas/Chemical Suppliers is required to succeed at this role. A good understanding of Network Solutions, Control Application and Safety Integrity Level concepts while being able to keep up with new developments in the industry will be an advantage in this position. Candidates should be fully proficient in applying established standards for LSS and GDS. We are looking for people who are strongly motivated and full of enthusiasm, with good communication and presentation skills. You should be independent, task oriented and organized with the ability to interact at all levels and to be able to contribute both as an individual and within a team. Aggressive selling and strong negotiation skills is an essential criteria.
