Project Manager III

CTGHS is looking for outstanding consultants with significant experience to fill the following specifications:


The Project Manager III – Acuity and Patient Classification creates and executes project work plans for Clinical, IT/Cerner Clairvia Business projects and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements of the organization.
1.  Follows a defined project management methodology, accountable for the detailed planning of steps and resources needed to meet objectives.
2.  Monitors and prepares reports to ensure work is progressing to meet the deliverables on time and on or under budget.
3.  Manages multiple medium or large, complex, capital and non-capital IT projects simultaneously.
4.  Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
5.  Effectively applies IT’s methodology and enforces project standards. Ensures that in-flights reviews and quality assurance procedures take place for all projects.
6.  Manages project-related risks and issues.
7.  Solves conflicts and issues in a timely manner, escalating to manager as appropriate.
8.  Ensures project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
9.  Manages project budget.
10.  Ensures quality control for all projects.
11.  Effectively communicates relevant project information to leadership.
12.  Provides leadership to lower level Project Managers.
13.  Provides leadership to multi disciplinary teams, as well as manages work of outside consultants.

Required Skills Include:
•  IT/Cerner Clairvia

•  Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Operations Research, Public Health Administration, or other related field.

•  PMI certification required

•  5+ years of information systems experience
•  7+ years project management experience
•  Project management experience in health care preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
•  Possess thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools
•  Possess strong and tested project management skills, including risk management
•  Proven abilities in problem management, process analysis and root cause analysis
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•  Ability to work in a complex and matrixed team environment
•  Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule and meet deadlines
•  Skills in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
•  A passionate desire to grow, learn and advance
•  Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design
•  Possess quality presentation skills and experience in presenting complex plans and designs to executive-level management

•  Nurse Scheduling Tools (Desired)
