Electronic Test Technician/Engineer

CTG is hiring for a variety of Electronic Test Technician opportunities!


These are ongoing contract positions in Durham, North Carolina.

1) Regulatory Test Technicians

These Test Technician's primary role will be to perform electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing according to FCC and International regulations (EU, CE Mark, etc.).  They will also:


• Write test compliance test reports
• Review specifications and schematics to ensure test accuracy
• Coordinate, perform and document full range of compatibility/susceptibility testing.


2) Hardware Test Technicians

This group of Test Technicians will be performing xSeries Server testing and Hardware error injection task.  The percentage breakdown of the environment is 80% Setup and troubleshooting, 10%  execution of test cases, and 10% of results documentation.  The candidates must:


• Document test results in a clear and thorough format through problem tracking reports
• Read schematics, identify bug points and solder. The level of soldering can be on the micro and scope level
• Use spectrum analyzers, receivers, and other related test equipment
• Install Linux and navigate from a workstation user perspective.


1) Regulatory Test Technician :


Required Skills:

• Experience testing for FCC and International Regulations (EMC, EU, CE Mark, CISPR)
• Writing Compliance Test Reports
• Reading Schematics and functional specifications

2)  Hardware Test Technician:

Required Skills:


• Install and navigate Linux on workstations
• Able to read hardware schematics, pick bug points and solder
• Debug on servers
• Install both Windows and Linux
• Basic networking knowledge
• Be able to multitask, work well in a team, problem solving skills.
