JOB SUMMARY:

Provide software engineering support to an integration contract for a government customer. Tasks may include:

    * software prototyping, including GUI software
    * software development and testing
    * software demonstration
    * technical research and presentations

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

May be asked to travel unassisted. Must be able to move, carry, and operate personal computer equipment and related material. Applicant MUST be a detail oriented, analytical, and independent self-starter and have superior oral and written communication skills. Applicant must be willing and able to learn new technology and new technical skills quickly. Applicant must be able to both follow written instructions as well as create them. Applicant must have at least 2 years of on the job experience, be able to work with large and diverse groups of technical, managerial, and user communities, and be able to solve complex problems, both independently or in callaboration with others.

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for for access to classified information.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :

The successful candidate must have a Bachelors degree from an accredited institution and at least 2 yeas of professional experience. Knowledge in the following applications:

    * Java (including design, coding, and testing)
    * XML (and XSD schemas)
    * Java GUI framework developement
    * Eclipse (or similar ) IDE

Experience in any of the following areas is preferred:

    * 32 and 64-bit Windows OS variants (XP, Vista, 7)
    * Migration of 32-bit applications to 64-bit
    * OSGi
    * Production databases (e.g. SQL/SQL Server) and dependent applications
    * RIA development
    * C++
    * Fortran
    * Working in a confguration-managed environment
