Projects involved with:

    * Position is in a corporate engineering group that responds to and supports all business sectors within Corning Incorporated
          o Corning Glass Technologies
          o Corning Environmental Technologies
          o Corning Life Sciences
          o Corning Optical Fiber
    * Role within group: Define requirements for HVAC portion of a Facility projects
    * Individual Contributor

Day to Day Responsibilities:

    * Participate in project teams as an individual contributor to understand the customers’ requirements, develop a scope of work, cost estimates and project plan.
    * Implements the design, installation, start-up and de-bug of HVAC and Facilities air flow systems.
    * Manage internal Corning personnel as well as external consultants and contractors to complete the project deliverables
    * Track progress of project budget and schedule
    * Exercise sound judgment and utilize problem solving skills in the execution of projects

Travel Requirements:

    * Minimal domestic travel may be required.

Required Education:

    * Pursuit of Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with concentration in HVAC

Required Skills:

    * Technical competence with the Mechanical Engineering of HVAC systems for Industrial Buildings and Facilities
    * Experience working in Manufacturing Facilities and Construction sites
    * Problem solving skills
    * AutoCAD, MS Project & MS Office programs
    * Self-Starter

Desired Skills:

    * Plant Experience
    * Construction Experience

Soft Skills:

    * Strong verbal and written communication skills
    * Effective working in a matrixed organization
