Senior CA Application Performance Support

The objective of this Task Order is to provide the Social Security Administration (SSA), Division of Systems Performance and Service Level Management (DSPSM) with support for the enterprise rollout of the CA Introscope tool in SSA applications and support of additional CA APM tools as required.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

Provide the Division of Systems Performance and Service Level Management (DSPSM) with:

 

    * Support, monitor, and tune Introscope agent performance on the mainframe, UNIX, and Windows platforms.
    * Provide documentation on Introscope agent configuration for the creation of application runbooks.
    * Create dashboards, custom metrics, and alerts in the Introscope tool
    * Monitor production applications for performance, assist in troubleshooting of application performance issues, and produce ad hoc reports.
    * Administer the Introscope tool.
    * Provide guidance and recommendations regarding use of the Introscope tool.
    * Participate in the continuous improvement process.
    * Provide documentation detailing results of analysis, monitoring, and recommendations.
    * Train and transfer knowledge to SSA Personnel on all activities detailed in this task order, including Introscope administration, use, and support
    * Support additional CA APM tools as required.

·         Create and maintain application-specific Introscope dashboards

·         Create and maintain application-specific Introscope alerts

·         Create and maintain application-specific Introscope custom metrics

·         Create and maintain application-specific Introscope reports

·         Build Introscope agent configuration files

·         Tune Introscope agent configuration files for performance and to provide necessary metrics for monitoring

·         Identify and report on potential opportunities for improving SSA’s problem remediation procedure

·         Document Introscope agent configuration for inclusion in application runbooks

·         Analyze application server performance in DSPSM performance testing

·         Analyze application server performance in Production applications

 

Required Skills

    * Certification as a CA Associate
    * Ability to provide operational support of CA APM tools including Introscope on the mainframe, UNIX, and Windows platforms.
    * Experience configuring and optimizing CA APM software.
    * Experience configuring and tuning Introscope agents on the mainframe, UNIX, and Windows platforms.
    * Ability to perform administrative tasks for CA APM tools.
    * Ability to perform knowledge transfer to SSA personnel.

 

Qualifications
 


Basic Qualifications

    * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    * Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field preferred
    * Nine  years of information systems experience
    * Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems, hardware and software
    * Experience working with how information technology interfaces with functional groups within an organization
    * Experience working with technology industry
    * Certification as a CA Associate is a plus
