Control Sr Assistant


 You will be on the 5 year Scientific & Technical Support Services contract at the NOAA NESDIS Office of System Development at the NOAA Satellite Operations Facility (NSOF) in Suitland, MD. Candidate must have experience developing Documentation Management and managing technical libraries. Seeking candidates with Associate degree and 2 plus years of experience in documentation management.


If you do not hold an active DoD security clearance, you will be subject to a background investigation.


Essential Job Functions

    * Assists in filling requests for forms according to required quantity, packaging and delivery instructions.
    * Assists in the conversion of appropriate level regulated documents from paper to electronic media and vice versa, to ensure that relevant documents are available in requested forms, when appropriate.
    * Processes and fills requests for appropriate forms and documents, which include pulling orders, checking quantity, packaging for shipment to area offices and delivery to employees to ensure that all document needs are met.
    * Maintains an inventory of appropriate document movement from one database to another to ensure that all documents are tracked and accounted for effectively.
    * Monitors and distributes secure documents to appropriate personnel.
    * Oversees the destruction of relevant documents to ensure that all documents are destroyed according to legal and company guidelines.

Basic Qualifications

    * High school diploma or G.E.D.
    * One or more years of document control/forms experience
    * Experience working with company document maintenance policies and procedures and company databases
    * Experience working with legal document maintenance and destruction procedures
    * Experience working with business units and functions in order to ensure that documents are dispatched and/or duplicated by authorized personnel only

Other Qualifications

    * Communication skills to communicate with employees regarding requested records
    * Skills in tracking and routing documentation
    * Computer and business solutions software skills to maintain and update document inventory
    * Ability to work independently
    * Ability to keep sensitive and confidential material private or available to authorized personnel only
