Management Specialist

 

Initial training for this position will be provided in West Palm Beach, Florida.   Ultimately, this position is located in Andros Island in the Bahamas.

 

Responsible for managing the inventory of furniture, furnishings, appliances and equipment (FFA&E) in transient housing units, permanent party housing units and the Housing warehouse on the AUTEC Project.

 

 

 

Performs many of the following responsibilities:

 

    *
      Create inventory records in MAXIMO and UHM for approximately 25,000 FFA&E items used in Housing operations.
    *
      Update inventory location and condition data on a daily basis.
    *
      Manage the annual inventory of FFA&E.
    *
      Monitor inventory levels, condition and relevant expiration dates of transient amenities, linens, cleaning supplies and other items used in Housing operations.
    *
      Research sources of supplies and reorder items as needed to ensure that supplies are never out of stock.
    *
      Respond to permanent party residents' requests for FFA&E.
    *
      Advise the Housing Manager on FFA&E and supply requirements and assists in development of the annual Housing procurement budget.
    *
      Direct the daily movement of FFA&E to support change-of-occupancy maintenance, the stocking of supplies and other items, and furniture movement.
    *
      Oversee cleaning and repair of FFA&E.  Determine when FFA&E should be sent to the Property Disposal Office.
    *
      Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications
 

    *
      High school diploma or equivalent. AS/AA in a related field preferred.
    *
      Two (2) years related experience in an inventory control environment preferred.
    *
      Customer service and experience operating a computer in an office environment desired.
    *
      Valid Driver’s License and passport required.

 

 

Must meet eligibility to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance.

 

 

 

    *
      Ability to accurately enter a large volume of data on a daily basis.
    *
      Ability to proofread.
    *
      Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Must be able to produce a variety of reports using Microsoft Office Suite.
    *
      Ability to research sources for a wide variety of items using the internet.
    *
      Must be detail oriented.
    *
      Experience with US Government sources of supply desired, but not required.
    *
      Experience using MAXIMO or other computer-based inventory system desired, but not required.
    *
      Work with constantly-changing cross-functional teams to accomplish daily goals.
    *
      Excellent oral and written communication skills
    *
      Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
    *
      Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
