SAP Procurement Business Analys

General Position Summary:
The SAP Procurement Business Analyst on the ERP project team will provide analysis, software design, implementation and support within the SAP Procure to Pay team. This business analyst role will be responsible for the functionality for global “Direct Procurement” and Inbound Logistics/Goods Receipt. EDI (Outbound 850 and Inbound 856), Purchasing Master Data, BOMs, Material Master. We are recruiting for three Procurement Business Analyst positions.  
 Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

    * Identify business requirements and develop the ERP Global Blueprint within the areas of direct procurement and inbound logistics
    * Provide SAP configuration expertise for all functionality in the MM module to support a global implementation of supply chain in the Apparel/Footwear industry, including purchasing master data, material master, direct procurement and inbound logistics.
    * Leverage strong integration experience with SAP financials, controlling, sales order processing, as well as integration with 3rd party applications such as Logility (for supply planning), Manhattan WM, and Taxware.
    * Identify impacts to material master data in legacy systems, and develop migration plans to conform to the SAP AFS material master grid design
    * Design functional specifications for interfaces to other applications, custom EDI messages, userexits, reports, and other development objects.
    * Work with programmers to oversee completion and efficiency of development objects.
    * Develop and execute thorough unit and integration testing scenarios and documentation, using testing tools such as HP Quality Center and Mercury Interactive.
    * Supply adequate training/documentation information, using recording tools such as U-Perform and other templates required by the Training Team.

Job Scope:

    * Job will require participation on projects in various stages of progress, including production support
    * Job requires complex analysis, detailed design, and complex troubleshooting abilities, requiring a highly analytical mindset
    * Analyst will be expected to work with the Procure to Pay teammates as well as members of other functional and technical teams; designs and configuration will be reviewed and approved by the SAP Procurement Manager
    * Position is moderately visible to the Columbia business community and to suppliers
    * Errors in judgment or work performance could result in insufficient profitability for Columbia Sportswear. Errors in judgment could directly affect sales and relationships with business partners.

Specific Job Skills:

    * Possess expert knowledge of materials management business processes (including vendor master, material master, purchase order pricing, account determination, EDI, vendor evaluation, goods receipts, inbound logistics and the technology that supports these processes.
    * Ability to design and configure an efficient SAP Procure to Pay solution to support a company with the order management and distribution complexities that are present in a global $1 billion enterprise.
    * Design efficient interfaces and master data schemas to support integration of Logility (for supply planning) with SAP purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
    * Ability to conceptualize and design functional solutions to enhance supply chain visibility of finished goods from suppliers through distribution centers
    * Possess strong integration understanding of the SAP modules that support Procure to Pay processes (SD, WM, FI, CO)
    * Expertise in SAP AFS functionality and apparel industry practices
    * Configuration of the MM module in complex submodules, including the following: material master using the IS-AFS grid, extensive pricing and terms, EDI, 3rd party processing/direct ship, messages, master data hierarchies.
    * Analytical troubleshooting of processes and SAP configuration, debugging when necessary
    * Ability to write clear documentation of process/system designs and user instructions
    * Ability to conduct one-on-one training to teammates and business users

Bachelor’s Degree preferred with emphasis in business, supply chain management, information systems, or accounting, MBA preferred. 10+ years of supply chain experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

    * 5 + years of IT experience required with at least three years of experience configuring SAP Materials Management functions that support a global supply chain.
    * Ability to independently configure requisitions and purchase orders, vendor masters, material masters (preferably within the context of the SAP AFS grid), purchase order pricing in SAP is required.
    * Apparel and Footwear industry experience is highly desirable, preferably within an SAP environment
    * Experience with 3rd party applications, such as Logility, Manhattan WM and Taxware desired
    * Experience as an MM configuration analyst on least one full cycle ERP implementation required

 Job Conditions:
Job requires hours that will often exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week during times of peak activity, especially during projects. Evening meetings and/or weekend work occasionally required to collaborate with people in other time zones and to ensure timely project completion. Job pressure exists in the balancing of several projects with conflicting and sometimes changing deadlines. Job is based in Portland, Oregon, but periodic domestic and overseas travel required to support SAP rollouts in California, Kentucky, Canada, Europe, Japan and Korea.
