General Position Summary:
Through close collaboration with Key Accounts and Account Sales Reps, Replenishment Analyst will manage the development and execution of seasonal replenishment forecasts at the Account’s category, style and style/color level in order to achieve financial goals for both Account and CSC. Senior level planner needs to demonstrate high-level planning, systems expertise and ability to handle complex issues.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Provide input for decision making
Gather data, analyze and then provide direction for all aspects of customer seasonal replenishment forecast. Communicate with customers to insure mutual business goals are being achieved through regular management of the forecast. Work closely with Account Sales Force, Account Services, and Account Logistics to problem solve and provide recommendations for solutions on business processes.
Develop and execute plans
Utilize CSC’s planning processes to analyze and develop detailed monthly replenishment plans at category, style and style/color level based upon GTM initiatives, marketplace and consumer trends, customer data, historical analysis and using advanced statistical modeling to establish category/account plans. Plan and facilitate an in-person detailed forecast review with the Account Buying team and Sales Management once per season.
Manage replenishment tactical forecast process.
Pro-actively manage the replenishment forecast based on the week to week selling results. Identify and resolve any reoccurring replenishment issues both internally at CSC and externally with the customers. Drive consensus for inventory issues with internal stakeholders and customers. Create analysis and reporting on shipping with the key metrics of fill rate and forecast accuracy on a regular cadence (weekly, monthly, seasonally). Develop action plan and timeline for issue resolution. Communicate inventory issues with Account Buying teams and Sales Reps via monthly conference calls.
Best practices
Lead efforts to improve replenishment planning process. Provide feedback on continuous improvement of planning systems, enabling technologies and reports.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience.
Requires 8+ years of experience in buying or planning with emphasis on sales analysis. Retail buying and/or planning preferred. Strong knowledge of the concepts and theories of demand planning/forecasting and replenishment. Broad understanding of the retail/wholesale industry.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets, charts and pivot tables; proficiency using formulas
Possess advanced knowledge of merchandising, buying, product allocation, and retail sales analysis
Advanced knowledge of retail math and pricing strategies with an in depth knowledge of open to buy and the financial planning process at the retail level
Knowledge of the outdoor industry, the department store channel, consumer buying patterns and retail dynamics sufficient to be credible and influential with customers
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise business communication
Excellent organizational and presentation skills and attention to detail required.
The ability to speak effectively in front of groups of varying sizes and levels within the company in person or over the phone
Ability to operate independently and follow general guidelines
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Superior analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to collaborate and influence others
