Branch Manager
PRIMARY DUTIES:
The Branch Manager is responsible for overall profitability by directing sales and business development, meeting operational objectives, and ensuring the branch achieves its annual goals. Management and leadership duties include: employee development and engagement, ongoing coaching, and performance management. Branch Managers are responsible for building the bank's presence in the community and for prospecting and enhancing business relationships.
Position Responsibilities:
· Directly manage branch along with internal loan production platform.
· Cross sell bank services to present and potential customers.
· Operate independently within the teamwork concept.
· Installment - lending.
· Ensure the branch Physical Security
· Cross selling of bank services to new and existing clients.
· Complete Branch Certifications – Monthly, Quarterly, and Annuals.
· Accurately process branch payroll
· Daily supervision of direct reports
· Instilling a sales culture through consistent training and development of employees
· Produce and manage branch portfolio.
· Support other lenders with a team approach to various aspects with all other staff members.
· Review and approve the daily overdraft report.
· Create and monitor branch budget to include income and expense control.
· Consistently develop employees to prepare for career advancement.
· Actively involve the branch in the community
· Monitor documentation for new account openings, wire transfers, etc.
· Actively call and seek new prospective clients for the bank.
· Foster many complex and sophisticated bank relationships requiring a teamwork with Cash Management, Merchant Services, International, CB Investments, and Private Banking
· Support other lenders with a team approach to various aspects of the lending function
Minimum Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Knowledge of bank branch management , including operating procedures and compliance requirements
· Working knowledge of all bank products.
· Ability to understand and work with customers who have complex borrowing relationships as well as sophisticated deposit relationships requiring a team approach with Cash Management, Merchant Services, International, CB Investments, Residential Lending and Private Banking.
· Prior supervisory experience
· Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
· Must be available to work all branch operation hours, as required
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelors Degree
· Demonstrated ability to maintain a high volume of deposits and outstanding loan balance
· Installment lending experience preferred
· Knowledge of consumer/commercial loans
· Background in credit underwriting and analysis
· Thorough knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, practices and documentation (including accounting, financial statements and cash flow analysis).
· Thorough knowledge of bank products and services used by commercial customers.
· Relationship management skills for key commercial, small business and personal relationships.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
· Ability to stand or sit for prolonged duration
· Ability to perform repetitive finger, hand, and arm movements
· Ability to lift 25lb bags of coin
· Ability to perform simple math
· Ability to utilize electronic equipment such as computer, 10-key, telephone, etc.
· Ability to think critically and provide appropriate solutions
