UNITED TACONITE located in Forbes, Minnesota is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Reliability Engineer - Electrical.
Typical Tasks Specific to the Role:
* Conduct predictive maintenance activities by utilizing Ultrasonic Emissions (UE) and Infrared (IR) tools.
* Provide electrical technical guidance and expertise to management, engineers, electrical crafts people and electrical coordinators in the plant to improve equipment reliability and extend the life of assets.
* Analyze data captured through UE and IR programs to recommend changes to the monitoring programs, routes, frequency of inspection and type of equipment being monitored.
* Analyze delay analysis reports to look for electrical opportunities for improvements.
* Analyze repetitive failures and improve the electrical design to reduce or eliminate failures.
* Support Stability Foundation projects by serving as an electrical subject matter expert on CDP teams.
* Perform RCA and Failure Scene Investigations as directed through departmental leadership.
* Provide information to the weekly asset management meeting to assist planners and schedulers to help prioritize electrical maintenance work based on reliability data.
* Perform comprehensive analysis on lubrication and vibration data and report out on significant finds to operations and maintenance leadership.
* Work with the Electrical planner to identify and record needed PM changes to Standard jobs and schedule those through the MST system in Elllipse.
A minimum of a two year degree (BS Electrical Engineering Preferred), or equivalent relevant work experience.
* 1 - 5 years of related experience preferred
* Experience/knowledge in mining and plant electrical systems
* Experience/knowledge in NFPA 70 E (acr flash) and MSHA requirements
* Experience/knowledge in maintenance and reliability systems
* Experience/knowledge in predictive maintenance technologies such as: oil, fluids, vibration, infrared including the collection of samples/data and the analysis of the information collected
* Experience/knowledge with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and Root Cause Analysis methodologies
* Demonstrated commitment to the continuous increase of knowledge and the application of such
