HR Business Partner

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) aligns business objectives with employees and management within and across designated staff functions. The HRBP serves as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues and will act as employee champion and change agent. HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and communicates needs proactively within our HR department and management teams to develop solutions. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP may include international Human Resource responsibilities. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy and understanding.
We are looking for a customer-focused professional who is proactive, highly organized, and open to new opportunities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented setting.
• Collaborate and engage with respective business units;
• Consult with staff functional management providing HR guidance when appropriate;
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues;
• Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations;
• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed;
• Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, talent management; etc).
• Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
• Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
• Partners with staff management and Talent Acquisition team to develop terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
• May assist int'l employees with expatriate/inpatriate assignments and related HR matters.
• Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning;
• Identify training needs and work with Training and Development team to build plan;
• Facilitate other HR support work to support needs of staff function.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a relevant field; experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
Experience:
- Eight (8) years of overall HR experience with five (5) years focused on HR generalist/business support objectives;
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, training, federal and state employment laws;
- Excellent consulting, client management and business literacy skills;
- Strong conflict management skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results;
- Effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex business issues;
- Manage conflicting priorities;
- Be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels;
- Be self directed and motivated;
- Take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications;
- Availability to travel up to 15% of the time;
- Flexibility and adaptability to diverse experiences;
- Excellent prioritizing, multi-tasking and verbal/written communication skills.
