Execute delivery and logistics activities, ensuring on time shipment from the plants and on time delivery to the customer.  In addition to the day-to-day SAP transactions the position also involves resolving any transportation delays, equipment challenges or other issues that may impact on time delivery to the customer.  This position will interface with their counterparts in Order Management to meet productivity and quality metrics thereby ensuring a seamless order-to-deliver process resulting in excellent customer service.

    * Coordinate all load, shipment and traffic processes with local plant and warehouse personnel to ensure safe on time delivery to customer
    * Ensure adherence to all SOP’s and controls related to Safety and Compliance; including trade compliance, customs compliance, transportation and logistics regulations, Sarbanes Oxley, Dangerous Goods regulations, Responsible Care and ISO 9000
    * Execute SAP postings in a timely manner aligned with revenue recognition rules and ensure timely discrepancy resolution
    * Execute SAP quality notification transactions for all process failures to align with quality assurance expectations
    * Ensure that the escalation process to leads, regional experts and plant personnel is adhered to when unforeseen delays occur that may result in a late delivery to a customer.
    * Manage exceptions and emergency situations
    * Track the desk metrics defined for on time shipping and on time delivery and provide a root cause analysis and corrective action plan for those falling outside of the allowable tolerances
    * Assist with resolution of freight invoice discrepancies
    * Assist with inventory reconciliations
    * Assist with the investigation of quality failures and the development of preventive and corrective actions to prevent future re-occurrences
    * Manage returns including SOX physical and non-physical
    * Assist in contingency planning (e.g., power outage, SAP outage) and special incidents (hurricane and inclement weather preparation, plant outage)
    * Assist in investigation of customer complaints


Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    * Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, or related field or a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience and market knowledge in transportation and logistics
    * Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    * Customer Service Attitude and Strong Interpersonal Skills
    * Results Oriented with proven record of Process Improvement
    * Teamwork
    * SAP Experience (SD, MM modules)
    * Experience/compliance knowledge for handling imports/exports and hazardous chemical materials
    * Strong Problem Solving and Analytical skills
    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    * Ability to drive process improvements (Knowledgeable in Six Sigma and LEAN is an advantage)
