Market Development Manager

Responsibilities:

Purpose and Summary of position:

SL7

 

- Develop in-depth market assessment for segments and sub-segments including competitive overviews, SWOT analysis, trends, growth opportunities, and business risks

- Support segment strategy development and multi-generational application / product plans that drive differentiation, expand existing market / application opportunities, and provide higher margin and profitable growth

- Capture voice of the customer / market and effectively articulating and formulating actions and programs to capture value and increase profitable growth

- Define and capitalize on Celanese value proposition in current segments

- Drive new product/new application and translation opportunities

- Provide analysis and input on market trends, competitive activities, and threats

- Regularly monitor market index, drivers, and raw material movements and their impact on business profitability

 

 

 
Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

 

 

 -BS-Chemistry or Chemical Engineering required, MBA a plus

- 2 to 8 years marketing/sales experience with a technical background

- 1 to 4 years in chemical industry, ideally in emulsion polymers, adhesives, or coated papers

- Develop in-depth market assessment for segments and sub-segments including competitive overviews, SWOT analysis, trends, growth opportunities, and business risks

- Support segment strategy development and multi-generational application / product plans that drive differentiation, expand existing market / application opportunities, and provide higher margin and profitable growth

- Capture voice of the customer / market and effectively articulating and formulating actions and programs to capture value and increase profitable growth

- Define and capitalize on Celanese value proposition in current segments

- Drive new product/new application and translation opportunities

- Provide analysis and input on market trends, competitive activities, and threats
