Responsibilities:

    * Mentor, coach and train site personnel in areas related to design, fabrication, inspection, and repair of Fabricated Equipment.
    * Support capital projects globally including technical review, material selection, vendor selection, and financial justifications.
    * Manage and champion the Celanese Engineering Standards for Fabricated Equipment, Piping, and Coatings.
    * Maintain knowledge of latest manufacturing and inspection technologies.  Stay abreast of revisions to Engineering Codes and Standards (ASME, API, etc).  Provide expertise with a focus on focus on Mechanical Integrity, Fitness for Service, NDE Inspection Technologies and Corrosion Control.
    * Interact with all manufacturing sites including problem solving and trouble shooting.  Provide technical assistance and make recommendations for piping and pressure vessel inspection programs.
    * Lead or participate in failure analysis programs for fabricated equipment including FMEA, RCM and RCA's.  Help develop corrective actions and tracks results
    * Maintain and recommend predictive/preventive maintenance programs at sites through Global KPI's to drive improvement corporate wide.  Support collection of key data from sites as required.
    * Develop and implement Best Practices and maintenance procedures to improve equipment reliability/efficiency and minimizes repair cost

Qualifications:

    * Knowledge of manufacturing plant processes and experience in Maintenance/Reliability Engineering.  Strong background in specification, inspection and repair of fabricated equipment and piping.
    * Extensive experience with API Inspection codes, (510, 570, 579, 653).  Certifications are desirable.
    * Extensive knowledge construction codes, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME Piping Codes, API 650.
    * Experience with NDE and other preventative and predictive methods to reduce risk, insure fitness for service and improve reliability.
    * Strong computer skills especially with MS products, SAP
    * Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities
    * Effective communication skills with ability to communicate internally and externally with all levels of  the Global organization
    * Strongly motivated individual who works independently with minimal supervision
    * Ability to work in a team based environment and open to travel to global plant sites.
    * Ability to lead teams toward a common goal.
    * Minimum of 5 Yrs experience in Fabricated Equipment Engineer.
    * BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Desirable

    * Experience with Six Sigma or equivalent continuous improvement processes
    * Experience with reliability engineering principles and methodology, (RCA, RCM, Reliability Models, Crow-AMSAA, Weibull)
    * Knowledgeable and experienced in Celanese work processes, policies and procedures
