Manufacturing Technician
Assignments are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Incumbent follows documented assembly procedures. All assembly steps are reviewed by the quality control function so that errors are caught before product is delivered to downstream customer. Incumbent is generally indirectly supervised. Supervision is direct at the final assembled product stage.
Essential Functions
Assembles wafer probe products. Performs incoming inspection of parts. Builds probe products including assembly, testing and training. Performs outgoing inspection. Participates in ongoing process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent. Requires at least two years of production experience in microscopic assembly.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
Basic reading, writing and math skills. Ability to use a digital microscope. Ability to use a variety of hand tools and calibration equipment. Ability to read and work from established drawings and to follow instructions. Basic PC and Microsoft applications skill in Word, Excel and Outlook.
Performance Skills
Assertiveness, decisiveness, oral communications, and problem-solving skills required. Good communication skills required. Must have ability to work and excel in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit and work with microscope and tweezers for extended periods of time. Work overtime as required. Must be able to wear lab safety equipment such as a lab coat, booties and safety glasses. Ability to learn and follow safety procedures.
