Customer Service Representative

 Job Summary:

Carlisle Construction Materials Incorporated, a worldwide leading a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building productsand related technology has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales Specialist/ Customer Service Representative in its Carlisle, PA location. This position is the primary contract between Carlisle Syntec and all material distributors. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for professionally and promptly responding to inquires through phone, email, and fax communication and will manage the customer orders from initial placement through shipment, including providing accurate availability and lead time of various products. The Customer Service Representative will also be responsible for the issuance of vender purchase orders, verification of pricing, issuance of credit memos, and return authorizations. All Customer Service Representatives are expected to form strong relationships with customers, representatives, contractors as well as Carlisle sales staff.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

    * Handle all customer requests, managing customer orders from placement through shipment, providing accurate lead times and verifying pricing, credit memos and RMA's
    * Monitor backorders, review rescheduling report daily and communicate in a timely manner with customers on backorder situations.
    * Review open orders on a regular basis and close out old orders as necessary.
    * Maintain a network of appropriate contacts within the various Departments such as Traffic, Purchasing, AP, Production, etc. as well as with external vendors.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Applicants must have an Associate’s degree, Bachelors degree highly preferred, with a minimum of three years customer service experience.  Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  In addition, applicants should also have basic negotiating, multitasking, math and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and experience with an ERP system, SAP highly preferred. Previous knowledge of building products distribution is also required, commercial roofing knowledge is a plus.
