Director of Operations
Position Mission: The primary responsibility of this position will be to provide support leadership and development to a store base between 80-100 stores. Additionally, focus on creation of regional Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Wildly Important Goals (WIGs) and development of District Managers (DM).
Responsibilities Include:
• To provide a broad range of expertise in areas that directly impact Store Operations.
• Analyze test stores for process, procedure, equipment, and design changes.
• Interface with Business Solutions on product development and innovation.
• Drive product quality through structured processes and procedures.
• Travel within area of responsibility on a weekly basis.
• Train, coach and mentor District Managers in all areas relative to their two objectives: customer satisfaction and profit maximization.
• Develop, implement, and monitor strategic and tactical plans that ensure the achievement of region and retail WIGS.
• Participate in the formulation of the company Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
• Participate in the annual budget process, including store sales and profit plans, region G&A (by district), and annual capital expenses, including store remodels.
• Manage the region P&L, including G&A.
• Ensure effective communication from the top down and bottom up through participating in and/or leading regular meetings (e.g. DM meetings, Store Manager (SM) meetings).
• Assist District Managers in the timely resolution of all issues related but not limited to MIS, employee/customer relations, supply chain management, and asset management.
• Approve real estate sales and profit plans for all new store openings (NSOs).
• Ensure NSOs open in a timely fashion in relation to Store Development turnover dates
• Provide operational feedback to Marketing.
• Utilize Marketing support in driving traffic and Sales.

Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 5 years of training and experience, preferably in a multi-unit restaurant or retail environment.
• Previous experience opening new high-volume, multi-unit restaurants desired.
• Strong business acumen as related to this position.
• Must be knowledgeable in areas of retail operations, familiar with pricing, product specifications, food, supplies, and sanitation.
