Clinical Operations Supervisor
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To provide a leadership role and management the clinical staff of ACRS, Inc. to assist the Executive Vice President in the daily operations of internal Quality Improvement and QA (Quality Assurance) on the transmissions and Monitor/Holter Technicians performance.
**must be CCT Certified (Or RN with ACLS or Paramedic with ACLS) and a strong background in the cardiology field
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
· Provides the Executive Vice President monthly reports on volume of calls to assists in the evaluation of an individual employee.
· Provides to the Executive Vice President accrual of time benefits for employees, i.e. vacation, sick time, etc. and maintains those records.
· Provides to the Executive Vice President time sheets for each pay period and faxes to corporate headquarters on the appointed due date.
· Assist in scheduling team members to provide a continuous 24/7 monitoring service
· Provides to the Executive Vice President updates on the daily activities and operations of the clinical staff.
· Notifies the Executive Vice President of issues and/or concerns.
· Handles issues/concerns as they occur.
· Assists with the development of standard operating policies and procedures.
· Notifies Executive Vice President of low office and/or device supplies.
· Assist in scheduling team members to provide a continuous monitoring service.
· Assists and/or gives staff disciplinary input and/or staff’s evaluation.
· Provide weekly updates for all clinical staff.
· Assumes the role of clinical educator in maintaining the continuous quality improvement that meets the standard of excellence for arrhythmia monitoring of all patients transmissions.
· Recognizes when MD notification is met and follows up by calling the MD and the appropriate coordinators (as specified by the Study Protocol and, following ACRS, Inc. SOP’s).
· Edits patient’s transmissions (as per ACRS, Inc. SOP’s or Sponsor requirements).
· Fills in the appropriate Study handwritten or electronic questionnaires and post them on the web (or fax them), as per Sponsor requirements.
· Posts on the web (or faxes) the edited transmission.
· Notifies the Study coordinators of the new transmissions via e mail or phone call.
· Files in the appropriate study/patient chart the printed, edited version of patient’s transmission.
· Writes relevant patient information and/or coordinators communication in the appropriate Study binder (in the appropriate communication summary binders).
· Admits patients and MD’s in Paceart.
· Updates Patient and/or MD information as necessary.
· Follows up with patient’s missed transmissions by calling patients (as per ACRS, Inc. SOP’s)
· Notes the above point in patient’s demographics and printed schedule.
· Assists with shipping, handling and cleaning of devices.
· In addition, will scan Holters (as per Sponsor requirements and ACRS, Inc. SOP’s) as well as receive ECG transmissions.
· Will participate in ongoing internal and/or external (seminars, workshops, etc.) training.
· Will schedule internal education training and updates as necessary with the clinical educator
· Assist in maintaining the continuous quality improvement that meets the standard of excellence for monitoring by over-reading patient reports that meet notification and reports of technicians during the orientation process, chart auditing.
· Receive the patients ECG transtelephonically, scan Holters, process the clinical data, and make sound clinical judgment in regard to patient care.
· Generation of monthly reports for sponsors and/or investigating sites.
· On-going training and follow up with patients to ensure protocol compliance
· Data collection and analysis
· Participation in executing research protocols
· Assure protocol compliance.
· Completion of schedule follow up (QOL's, Schedule questionnaires)
· Distribution of patient data daily.
· Does QA as assigned by Executive Vice President.
· Assist in maintaining the continuous quality improvement that meets the standard of excellence for monitoring by over-reading patient reports that meet notification and reports of technicians during the orientation process, chart auditing, and review of data that is interpreted by the cardiologist.
· Trains new employees (as per ACRS, Inc. SOP’s)
· Assists the Executive Vice President in setting up a new Study (as per Sponsor requirements and ACRS, Inc. SOP’s).
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE:
Required:
State Issued License RN, or CCT certification with BS, MS or equivalent
Previous Management/Supervisory Experience
2 Years of Clinical Experience
Experience working in a call center environment
Basic Knowledge of ECG, Pacemakers and Holters
Knowledge of Computers, Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred:
Research Experience preferred

Contact with sponsors, coordinators, patients, physicians, employees, and internal management team on an as needed basis for various matters pertaining to the daily operations and situations that exist or develop.
