JOB SUMMARY

 

The Cards and Card Services Product Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of debit, credit and gift cards as well as card-related services, including merchant services and rewards programs, using a product life cycle approach.  The Product Manager is responsible for the successful implementation and management of these products and revenue growth.

 
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·          Prepares recommendations for the vision, strategy and roadmap of the products in line with company strategy.

 

·         Prepares recommendations, including the business case, for new products or product enhancements and drives the execution of those enhancements.

 

·         Develops product scope and requirements documents (use cases, data gathering forms, etc.) for new products or product enhancements using the system development life cycle approach.

 

·         Works closely with vendors, project management, operations, marketing, sales, support and compliance to ensure products are properly implemented.

 

·         Works closely with communications and training to ensure product mastery of the sales and service staff.

 

·         Gathers customer feedback and measures satisfaction to ensure we are exceeding customer expectations; makes recommendations for improvements.

 

·         Conducts research including competitive positioning, trends, technology advancements and customer needs in order to develop product proposals for new products and enhancements to existing products.

 

·         Collaborates with marketing in the development of product positioning, messaging and go-to-market plan to ensure maximum adoption.

 

·         Provides input to marketing in developing sales and marketing collateral.

 

·         Measures performance of programs and campaign results, creates monthly reporting.

 

·         Works closely with vendors, manages vendor relationships and conducts vendor risk assessments.

 

·         Prepares RFIs and/or RFPs.

 

·         Responsible for complying with the various rules, regulations, policies, and ethical standards governing the financial services industry, including compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act.

 

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
 

·         This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

·          Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field from a four-year college or university.

·         Five-years of proven product management experience in the financial services industry.

·         Credit and/or debit card product management experience highly desired.
