Loan Administrative Assistant

SUMMARY Serves as an integral member of the Commercial Team providing exceptional service to customers and Commercial Team Members. Is responsible for streamlined and efficient office operations. Assists Commercial and Business Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers with origination, closing and modifying loans, tracking and clearing loan exceptions, obtaining financial information and sending to Credit Analyst for spreading, assist with loan closing function requesting loan documents and coordinating loan closings, printing 90-day maturing report and past due report each Monday and providing to RM & PM, creating & organizing shadow & electronic customer loan files, and providing exceptional general customer support including customer inquiries, concerning loan & deposit products. Utilizes professionalism to represent the bank on the job and outside the bank by performing the following duties:



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:



Demonstrates the ability to assume responsibility for completing tasks as delegated by the Commercial and Business Relationship Manager or Portfolio Manager to ensure efficient servicing and processing of loan customers and their respective portfolios. Responds to requests from other bank departments concerning customer or banker information as needed.



Efficiently, processes transactions, as needed with customer relationship accounts. Takes initiative with urgency in responding to customer inquires and requests through logical problem-solving skills. When appropriate, resolves the customer request independently.



Maintains proper files and an organized work area. Keeps files up to date and organized. Files pertinent information as requested.



Proactively assists the Commercial and Business Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers with additional duties, including but not limited to, tracking past dues and maturing loans, following and clearing all exceptions with assistance from RM &PM as needed, wiring funds, and contacting customers as appropriate. Performs moderate to complex administrative duties including ordering office supplies, copying, faxing scanning, filing, requesting and assimilating closing documents, tracking and clearing exceptions, etc.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates degree (A. A.) from a college or university; and four or more years of financial services experience and two or more years of customer service experience. Lending environment experience is preferred.



COMPUTER SKILLS: Expertise with PC software including word processing, spreadsheets, email and intranet applications.



LANGUAGE and COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read, write, and speak English. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to compose simple business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from lending department associates and customers.



ANALYTICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical financial applications.



REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret financial institution regulations and a variety of business instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
