New Learner Experience Coordinator

   
Responsibilities
    

The New Learner Experience Coordinator will work in collaboration with the New Learner Experience Supervisor and other Team members to provide an exceptional service and learning experience for new and prospective learners.  This individual will work with internal stakeholders to implement programs and processes that create an improved transition for new Capella learners with a goal of improving persistence and enhancing the learner experience.

Facilitation of New & Prospective Learner Seminars                                              

    * Facilitate various university seminars for new and prospective learners, including the University Orientation Seminar, UG099 Making the Undergraduate School Decision, GS099 Making the Graduate School Decision, and Learning Effectively Online.
    * Responsible for the contributions to content management and development of curriculum for NLE-led seminars.

New Learner Experience Implementation and Continuous Improvement        

    * Assist the New Learner Experience Team Supervisor with the continuous improvement of the New Learner Experience.
    * Create and update documentation mapping the new learner experience.
    * Serve as a resource in the development of service improvements and the development of innovative NLE services.
    * Assist in the development and implementation of seminars and stand-alone resources that improve the new learner experience.

Collaboration with Key New Learner Stakeholders                                               

    * Serve as a liaison and subject matter expert to key stakeholders, including Enrollment Services, Marketing, Financial Aid, LSO, Advisors, Schools, Faculty, and other staff regarding NLE services.
    * Serve on committees and attend meetings as a subject matter expert for New Learner Experience.

Assessment & Metrics                                                                                                   

    * Track service performance metrics
    * Track seminar performance metrics
    * Track other NLE Team initiative performance metrics

    
Qualifications
    

    * Education:  Bachelor’s degree in counseling, student affairs, or related field or equivalent professional level experience required. Master’s degree preferred.
    * Minimum of two years experience in related area of higher education: Academic Advising, Student Services, Total Enrollment, etc. preferred
    * Exceptional organization and time management skills.
    * Previous teaching or seminar facilitation experience preferred.
    * Strong partnering abilities; can effectively work collaboratively across departments to influence and achieve results.
    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
