Corporate Recruiter

The Corporate Recruiter will work in partnership with the HR Team to provide staffing support for a variety of positions within Capella University, including information technology recruitment.  This person will manage the full life cycle recruiting process for designated positions including creating job postings, leading strategy sessions with hiring managers, developing advertising campaigns, sourcing and evaluating resumes, scheduling, phone and in-person interviews, evaluating candidate qualifications and job fit, preparing offers and reporting.  As a Corporate Recruiter, this role will be responsible for a considerable recruiting load, and can work at an advanced level across all departments in the organization, recruiting for entry level roles to mid-level management.

Primary responsibilities include:
- Developing and applying effective recruiting strategies to identify and attract well-qualified candidates.
- Developing innovative and actionable methods of sourcing top talent outside of traditional recruiting methods, including targeting passive job seekers.
- Conducting high energy interviews which reinforce the Capella brand and values while generating enthusiasm with candidates.  Ensures candidates have a positive Capella experience.
- Conducting strategy meetings with hiring managers and developing effective recruitment strategies.
- Sourcing candidates using cost-effective means including Internet searching, advertising, networking, social-networking and referrals.
- Conducting effective resume review, scheduling and interviewing of applicants and recommending candidates for employment.
- Partnering with HR colleagues (HR Generalist, Operations, Compensation & Benefits) to ensure a consistent recruiting, on boarding and transition of all candidates.
- Implementing recruiting strategies and activities to ensure diversity objectives are met.
- Participating in staffing related projects such as interview training, developing employment brand, participating in job fairs, developing interviewing tools, vendor assessment, etc.
- May participate in HR change initiatives designed to improve organizational effectiveness, retention or compliance efforts.
- Recommend and implement process enhancements as well as alternate recruiting strategies when necessary.
- Must maintain data integrity with daily and weekly reporting, updating systems and forecasting.
- Identify and share industry best practices.
    
- 5 + years recruiting experience from entry level to manager in a corporate environment preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or commensurate experience required.
- Breadth of recruiting experience with varied business teams, including  recruiting for information technology roles (including Developers, Database Administrators, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Systems Administrators).
- Experience developing strategies for high volume, deadline driven recruiting campaigns.
- Experience with recruiting outreach efforts including Internet searching, advertising, networking, social-networking and referrals.
- Ability to quickly develop in-depth understanding of organization structure, business models and strategies, understanding organizational issues and challenges as they relate to staffing and forecasting.
- Strong consultative skills: ability to conduct an effective discovery conversation with a hiring leader to understand their talent needs, advise and influence appropriately to ensure alignment with the broader talent needs of the organization, and make recommendations on appropriate recruitment strategies.
