Organizational Effectiveness Consultant
The Organizational Effectiveness (OE) Consultant is responsible for providing change management expertise and execution for large-scale company initiatives. This is an internal consulting role focused on delivering business objectives by ensuring internal customer awareness, understanding, and adoption of change management practices. This position exists to help accelerate the pace of change and improve the effectiveness of change in Capella by aligning project objectives with the Organizational Change Management methodology (includes both the organizational and the behavioral side of change) and creating/executing change plans.
In addition, this position will ensure appropriate education, awareness and training of leaders within the organization around change management methodology and tools.
Specific accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
* Develop strong working relationships with organization leaders and understand strategic priorities and initiatives.
* Effectively diagnose business change issues and identify appropriate interventions.
* Provide deep expertise to project teams around change management and organizational design theories.
* Utilizing change management methodology, work with project sponsors and other resources to build a practical and executable change management plan.
* Ensure appropriate resources are assigned to change tactics (including self where appropriate); follow through to provide coaching, advice, resources, and tools to ensure deliverables are met.
* Identify connections between similar projects and activities across the organization and ensure alignment.
* Monitor and measure effectiveness of change programs delivered.
* Build organizational change capabilities; create practical and flexible tools, models, and processes that help build the capabilities of the OE/HR team and the organization.
Required
* Bachelors degree
* Minimum 3 years experience in the field of OE
* Technical Competencies
* Practical, hands-on experience leading large-scale organizational change and organizational design initiatives
* Consultative skills (i.e. establish trust/credibility, ask probing questions to get at root issues, influence effectively, confidently make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of a project/ organization)
* Demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analysis
* Experience with diagnosing business change issues and identifying the appropriate intervention
* Deep understanding of the behavioral side of change management
* Group facilitation skills
* Strong verbal and written communication
* Solid computer skills (MS word, Powerpoint, Excel, Visio) and comfort learning new technologies
