Production Lead

THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Production Lead is responsible for maximizing production rates and resource recovery for CNRL’s Primrose and Wolf Lake Operations.
• Identify opportunities and execute plans to optimize and expand existing operations
• Optimize production design for new CSS developments
• Broaden your experience and utilize your expertise by coordinating the efforts of the Primrose and Wolf Lake Production Engineering teams

HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?
• With the area teams, generate and execute the development plan including capital and operating projects and volume targets
• Work closely with the field operations, projects and facilities teams to maximize profitability in design, through start-up and SAGD operation
• Ensure optimized design and implementation of new well completion, artificial lift and associated projects
• Provide support to the regulatory process as required
• Contribute to development and depletion plan, production and capital budgets and 10 Year plans
• Ensure workover opportunities are identified and acted upon and determine artificial lift design for new projects
• Support drilling, facilities, and operations in design and execution of projects
• Create weekly production report and variance discussion
• Produce minor project scoping documents and evaluations as required
• Support regulatory applications and approvals as required
• Oversee successful circulation and start-up of new and worked-over well pairs
• Develop the annual workover budget and monthly variance report
• Make timely decisions on inactive wells
• Oversee wellbore integrity compliance and variance investigation

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Typically 10+ years of related industry experience with an Engineering Degree
• Registration or eligibility for registration with APEGA
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of:
o CSS and SAGD well design and production operations
o Production facilities and well design (complemented by field experience)
o Well construction operations
o Other desired proficiencies such as spreadsheet applications, strong communication, organizational and team leadership skills
