Completion Engineer CSS

THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Completion Engineer is responsible for maximizing production rates and resource recovery for CNRL’s Primrose and Wolf Lake Operations.
• Identify opportunities and execute plans to optimize and expand existing operations
• Optimize production design for new CSS developments
• Broaden your experience and utilize your expertise by coordinating the efforts of the Primrose and Wolf Lake Engineering teams

HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?
• Prepare completion and workover programs, complete with accurate cost estimates to carry out operations
• Assist in the implementation of projects and help with the coordination and scheduling of various services
• Work closely with Drilling and Asset teams in design, implementation and testing of new technology and ideas for all aspects of wellbore construction
• Conduct post project reviews
• Provide technical support for the wellsite supervisor and superintendents
• Participate in the development and execution of a long term growth strategy for Canadian Natural’s thermal assets which maximizes value for the company and our shareholders
• Perform other technical duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Typically 5+ years of related industry experience with an engineering degree
• Registration or eligibility for registration with APEGA
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of:
o Completions, workovers and production operations
o Successful thermal projects
• Excellent communication, organizational and team working skills complemented by a strong work ethic.
