ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

•Works with high integrity and complies with corporate guidelines on business ethics.
•Liaison between equipment design engineering and other functions, including manufacturing, quality control, service, and sales
•Receive product change or deviation requests from manufacturing or purchasing and deliver to Engineering for implementation
•Work with manufacturing sites to develop product design improvements to aid manufacturability and reduce cost
•Write project reports
•Provide equipment engineering support to manufacturing, sales, service, and supply chain
•Specifies components.
•Prepares work & test instructions.
•Supports fabrication.
•provides technical support.
•Performs product development activities including designs, interpretation and implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements.
•Provides existing product line support in design activities and/or modification of hardware in production.
Job Requirements/ Qualifications •Knowledgeable about basic mechanical engineering principles, including stress flow, material properties, etc.
•Knowledgeable about basic manufacturing principles, including machining, grinding, welding, cutting, etc.
•Knowledge of basic gear terminology and manufacturing
•Experience with LeTourneau equipment a significant plus
•Ability to read and interpret drawings and diagrams
•Ability to use CAD software
•Ability to use general office software such as MS Excel, MS Word, etc.
•Minimum 2 year Associate degree with Engineering focus preferred, degree from 2 or 4 year program in engineering or engineering technology or manufacturing a plus, but not required
•5 – 10 years experience in equipment design or manufacturing
•Experience with LeTourneau equipment a significant plus
