Lab Technician
Cameron Drilling Systems is seeking a dynamic and team oriented Lab Technician to join the team at their Brookshire facility in Katy, Texas. If you have experience in API testing and you meet or exceed our qualifications, we want to see your resume!
The Lab Technician will be responsible for the following job duties:
Assembles and tests elastomer seals with annular and ram type BOP. Activities vary in complexity and involve appreciable responsibility for care
Performs assembly, plumbing, troubleshooting and testing of equipment under direct supervision utilizing written procedures, established practices, and calibrated test equipment (gauges, load cells, etc)
Drains, cleans and greases assemblies for storage and/or shipment
Assists in the molding of R&D rubber parts
Utilizes proper handling techniques
Complies with plant safety policies/rules, stencils/marks required information on assemblies/sub-assemblies, maintains traceability for equipment requiring traceability, and identifies/segregates (where practical) non-conforming products
Completes traceability reports, test results, etc.
Performs computer transactions related to job activities
May be assigned other duties as required

Job Requirements/ Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years experience in related occupation in the oil and gas industry
Minimum of three months experience in assembly and testing of wellhead and drilling products
Proficient in the use of personal computer applications (i.e., spreadsheet, word processing)
Proficient testing equipment per Plant Procedures
Experience operating a forklift and overhead crane preferred
Safe work practices and strong time management skills required
Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language
