Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
* Define the value proposition of the role
o The specific value of the Specialist of ESS Special Events and Promotions comes in the ability to collaborate in design, develop and implement with partners and senior team best in class Events and Promotions. This position will focus on a higher level event design and require more experience than the coordinator position.
o The position presents an increased level of value with the individual being able to understand operational circumstances and assist in developing best practices and SOP’s to guide an increased efficiency throughout.
o Lastly, through an increased understanding of competitive set we can cull the best in class ideas not only from our internal events pool but from others ensuring that we continue to offer a more compelling and innovative product.

o This position will carry a great influence over the guest experience and the product presented.

o To create best in class events and promotions for guests while maintaining the highest level of return for the company overall.
* What challenges they would face
o Operation facility, regulatory and/or legal, management through influence and an undeveloped footprint of a previous business unit. This is a new to the enterprise role that will chart and follow its route. Those unable to manage in uncertainty in the near term would not be encouraged to apply for a role such as this.

o Success in this role will be identified by increased revenue, increased participation, higher guest satisfaction scores, higher employee satisfaction scores and a constant vigilance to the principle that we need to honor the guest vacation/leisure time.
* Define what the best in class candidates look like – how they act and function
o Successful candidates are well apprised of operational flow, they are able to think through and successfully chart what an event will be, knowing the challenges in facilities, personnel, regulations that an individual property may face. They are vocal with ideas and also not afraid to present challenges to property partners, senior team , property partners and their peer set. The candidate who will be successful is a good bridge builder and must successfully be able to present a vision and create advocates. This position will work in tandem with their respective regional direction to provide the heavy lifting in the development process (legal, compliance, audit, accounting, Direct Marketing).

o Seeking candidates who have defined experience base in Special Events and Promotions.
* Ability to secure Sheriff’s card or equivalent licensing if needed.
